Sketch for the localization poster. I had the idea to place Celia's coworkers directly into her hair because people of color are often overly scrutinized for their hair.

Key Art poster for submission to the Indie Games Summit event. The feeling of being trapped reminded me of prison imagery. So I made the office building look like a prison door, and the misleading flowers look like hinges and bolts.

Our producer Mac Kendema took a photo of an office building in Japan. He had an idea for me to animate his photo glitching into my key art. Then I added our new title music by Dave McKee.

Frame art designed by Game Devs of Color Expo. Character art designed & drawn by Selena Rios.

I wanted to do something unique to announce our participation in the Expo, so I animated it glitching to the darker, negative version to suggest horror.

As a treat to the team that could also be possibly used for the game, I made this little animation loop of Celia hugging her dog.

Various sketches exploring the relationship between Celia and her dog. Sketches that can possibly be turned into promotional art as well.

In-game art of Celia's dog. I needed to draw the dog in two versions: one before the player engages with the dog, and one afterwards.

Clock Out at 2 Visual Novel

In August '24 I joined the Melanated Game Kitchen co-op. They helped me join their Borderless Studios team to work on their ongoing visual novel 'Clock Out at 2'.
It features Celia, an Afro-Latina woman, who works in a predominately white workspace as she desperately struggles with her work-life balance while experiencing various microaggressions. So far, I've been tasked with making illustrations for marketing on social media, virtual events, and live festivals. I've also done a bit of 2D art for mini-games, such as Celia's dog. I've created pixel art icons for in-game desktops and the game's application on Steam.
Original characters designed by Selena Rios.
This is an ongoing project, so I will continue to add more of my work to this page.
The game's current demo can be played here:
